Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore First Impressions

It feels a little weird writing a first impressions piece of a port of a game that I already wrote a twelve part series on. That being said, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE might be my favorite JRPG of all time, and I was super excited to get back in and see what new features were added. So far, I’ve played a little over eight hours of the game and I’ve only found a couple minimal new things, which is unfortunate, but I’m still having a really good time. Continue reading

The January Nintendo Direct: Predicting An Event That Hasn’t Been Announced Yet

There will be a Nintendo Direct this month. I mean, they haven’t actually said that they’re going to, but they are. It just makes sense. We’re coming up on the one year anniversary of their Nintendo Switch event, which basically spelled out their plans for 2017. Plus there’s been a ton of leaks, one of which is an internal timeline for marketing the game Fe that straight up says that it’ll be shown during the January Direct. So, it’s happening. But what will be shown, and more importantly, what do I want to be shown?

Man, if it doesn’t happen, this is the dumbest start to an article. Continue reading

My Ten Favorite Games Of 2016

2016 was a pretty good year for video games. Unfortunately, I didn’t have nearly as much disposable income to buy games as I had in years past, and the end result is that a lot of the biggest games of the year, I haven’t played. I also, don’t own a PlayStation 4, so I haven’t played games like Uncharted 4 or The Last Guardian. But, I was still able to come up with a list of ten games that I played this year. It’s probably pretty different from most of the lists you’ve seen on other sites. Continue reading

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Check-in: Week 11

It’s that time again. Let’s take a look at how my progress in Tokyo Mirage Sessions is going. This week, I got further in the main story, did the final side quest, and got some grinding done in preparation for the final boss. You know the drill by now, before we get to all that, we have to talk numbers. Itsuki is currently level 61, I’m still in chapter 6, and my current play time is 46 hours and 44 minutes. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Check-in: Week 10

It’s that time again, time to see how much progress I made in Tokyo Mirage Sessions this week! Unfortunately, it’s not a whole lot this time. I did manage to make a little bit of story progress and complete one side quest. But, before we get to that, let’s go over some numbers. Itsuki is currently level 54, I’m partway through chapter 6, and my total playtime is just under 40 hours. Continue reading

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Check-in: Week 9

I didn’t have a whole ton of time to play Tokyo Mirage Sessions this week. I only got about two hours of playtime in. But, even though I didn’t spend that much time with the game, I still got a decent amount of stuff done. All of it was side quests this time. Before I get into what went down, let’s go over some numbers. My current playtime is 37 and a half hours, Itsuki is level 53, and I’m currently an the intermission before chapter 6. Continue reading

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Check-in: Week 8

It’s that time of the week again, time to see how much progress I made in Tokyo Mirage Sessions. I expected to spend the majority of my time this week in chapter 5’s dungeons, but I still ended up getting some side quests done. So, without any further ado, let’s go over some numbers. My current play time is 35 hours and 20 minutes, Itsuki is level 51, and I’m currently in the intermission between chapters 5 and 6. Continue reading

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Check-in: Week 6

I didn’t get nearly as much done in Tokyo Mirage Sessions this week, so I doubt this post is going to be very long. I didn’t get any side quests done, but I did complete chapter 4. As always, before we get started on the summary of what I did, let’s go over some numbers. My total play time is 25 hours and 45 minutes, Itsuki is level 42, and as I said before, I’ve played through chapter 4. That’s about three hours, two levels, and one chapter accomplished.
