Random Game Wednesdays: Grabbed By The Ghoulies (Rare Replay)

When Grabbed by the Ghoulies first released it was not very well liked, and it’s pretty easy to see why. This was the first game that Rare put out on a Microsoft console after being bought by the company, so immediately there were some angry Nintendo fans that didn’t want anything to do with it. Add on the fact that unlike the last several Rare games, this was a pretty small and basic game but was still full price, and you get a recipe for disappointment. Welcome Back, Samus

It’s been really rough being a Metroid fan. It’s been over seven years since the last mainline game in the series came out, Metroid: Other M. That game is, in my opinion, not very good, making it around ten years since the last game in the series that I really enjoyed came out, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Last year, we had a spin-off game, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, a game that is not the disaster that the internet would have you believe it is, but is absolutely not the game we had waited so long for. Star Fox 2 Is As Impressive As It Is Clunky

It’s not every day that a new first-party Super NES game comes out. Originally scheduled to be released in 1995, Star Fox 2 was completed but cancelled. As can be expected, incomplete ROMs could be found on the internet for year. But now, if you’re one of the lucky few who were able to pick up an SNES Classic Edition, you can legally play the fully complete version of the game. But was it worth the wait? Continue reading
