I’m Back!

If you’ve been following my blog, you’ve probably noticed that there’s been an exteme lack of posts so far this year. My life got really busy and the fact of the matter is, I don’t make any money of this site, so it has to be a thing I do for fun when I find time rather than a priority. The good news is, things are finally starting to calm down, so I’m recommitting to putting out the same amount of content that I used to!

Random Game Wednesdays returns this Wednesday! If you’re new or have forgotten since I haven’t done these in a long time, Random Game Wednesdays is a weekly post where I play a game for a short while and then give my thoughts about it. I choose a console or collection of games, count the total amount of games I own for that console or are included in that collection, and then run a random number generator to determine what game I’m going to play. I have lots of good games, but also a ton of crap, so you never really know what I’m going to get.

Check-In posts are back too! These are playthroughs of long games that I play a chunk of each week and write about them. Think of them as let’s plays but in written form. So far, I’ve done Xenoblade Chronicles X, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, and Dragon Age: Origins. I’ve also started a Fire Emblem Awakening Check-In series, but fell off pretty hard. Well, it’ll be back in seven days, and (should) be posted every Sunday until it’s beaten! If you read the Dragon Age series and remember the couple episodes that I wrote after long delays and were thus a collection of vague memeories, that’s what you can expect from this first one. But, those are some of my favorite posts, so I’m looking forward to it. Also, I’ve relied on Miiverse for screenshots, which isn’t possible any more, so I’m going to have to get pretty creative…

And of course, beyond these two weekly posts, there will also be reivews and first impressions, as well as thoughts on recent gaming news and the such. I’m going to try to be smart about what games get the full review treatment and which ones get first impressions. For example, I’m currently playing through Kirby: Star Allies and fully intend to give it a full review. But then there’s Sea of Thieves out in just a couple days, and that game’s so large that if I want to talk about it at all when it’s still relevant, I’m going to have to give my first impressions. If I change my opinion after putting in more time with it, I can always give it a more in depth review later on.

Another big announcement, at least for me, is that I have a new domain! Have you been meaning to tell people about how great this blog is, but felt that quartercircleforwardblog.wordpress.com was just too long of a URL to remember? No? Okay, well, let’s say that does happen. Now, you can just say “quartercircleforward.blog”. Much easier, right? Also, if you have the old URL bookmarked, it should keep working. So, that’s cool, right?

The two year anniversary of my blog is coming up in just a few days, and I really want to thank everyone who stuck with me. Usually, when I decide to do something like this, I burn out pretty quickly, but the support I’ve received has really encouraged me to keep going. I’m really lo
