November Writing Challenge

Have you heard of this NaNoWriMo writing challenge? It stands for National Novel Writing Month, and the idea is that you would write every single day of November to try to have a draft of a novel written by the end of the month. Well, I’m not planning on writing a novel, but I thought it would be fun to try to have a blog post written every day this month. So, this is the start of that.

Even though I haven’t done much writing on here lately, I have still played a good amount of games. Some of the days, my posts may be just some thoughts on some of the games I’ve played that I haven’t shared on here yet. In a few cases, I may even do a full review. I had planned to do a full review of Emio- The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club back when I had played through it, so that’s likely going to be one of reviews you’ll see.

I’m hoping to also include a few entries in some of my recurring features. I really enjoyed writing that first entry in Retro Hunting, so expect at least one more of those. Random Game Wednesdays also makes a lot of sense to do during this month. The only one of my main recurring series I wouldn’t expect to see return is the Check In series. I’ve had a few ideas for what to play to bring that back, but nothing that I’m going to do this month.

Filling up a whole month means that there’s going to be some days where the posts won’t be that meaty. But I’m sure I’ll find something to write about. I still play a lot of Animal Crossing and Sea of Thieves, so I can always just talk about what I’ve got going on in those games. Or maybe a list of what I’m looking forward to in the next year. Or discussing the latest Switch 2 rumors. There’s always something I could be talking about.

Hopefully, by the end of the month, I’ll be back into the swing of writing on here more regularly again. That’s honestly the biggest goal. I’ve been neglecting this blog for far too long and I really want to get back into the habit of writing for it again. I’m hoping all of you will join me while I do this challenge. But first, I should probably decide what tomorrow’s post will be.
