Random Game Wednesdays: Super Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi (SNES)

By some coincidence, the random game chosen for me on the week of Star Wars Day is a Star Wars game. Super Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi, or Super Return Of The Jedi as we always called it, is a game that I spent a lot of time with growing up. The same is true with the other games in the Super Star Wars trilogy, the first of which I actually wrote a Random Game Wednesdays post on all the way back in 2016. EA Kicks Off E3 With A Big Surprise And Not Much Else

I look forward to E3 all year and happily watch every press conference. That being said, EA has always struggled to grab my attention. Part of it might be that I don’t care about sports games, which are a huge part of EA’s business. But it’s also the caliber of the announcements that they bring. They just don’t hit the way other conferences do. This year, EA distanced itself from the other shows by being the only press conference of the day. Random Game Wednesdays: Super Star Wars (SNES)

Licensed games were a dime a dozen back in the days of the SNES and Genesis, and most of the time, they were junk. But every once in a while, you’d come across one that didn’t seem too bad. You might even call it “good”. The Super Star Wars trilogy on Super Nintendo were games that fit that description and ate up a good chunk of my childhood.
