Random Game Wednesdays: Blast Corps (Rare Replay)

I was hoping to have my set up for capturing game footage done by this week, but it’s not quite there yet. So, for the sake of easy screenshots, I once again decided to take a look at Rare Replay. This time, the random number generator gave me a game that I rented as a kid, but didn’t really play a whole lot of. In fact, the only thing I clearly remembered was the map screen music, with the words “time to get moving” repeating over and over. Using a random number generator to decide what game you’re going to write about each Wednesday can lead to some interesting results. In a lot of cases, you end up with games that not a lot of people have even heard of. But there’s just as much of a chance that you end up with a game that’s considered an absolute classic. Random Game Wednesdays: Turok: Rage Wars

I should love Turok: Rage Wars. The first two Turok games on the Nintendo 64 are among my favorite games on that console. I know some people will think this is crazy, but I honestly believe that Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is the best multiplayer shooter on the 64, even better than GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. So, a multiplayer focused spin-off seems right up my alley. I even like games that use multiplayer matches against bots as their single player content, like Unreal Tournament.
