It’s another night where it’s gotten late, I’m very tired, but I still need to write something. So how about another quick list? Marvel Vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics released digitally back in September, but I’m a weirdo who needs his games physically when possible. Because of that, I had to wait a few months for my copy, but it showed up today! So, here’s my first impressions of it. And when I say first impressions, I really mean it. It seems like the random number generator I use for this feature really likes giving me licensed games, and it did so once again. This time it’s Predator for the NES. Based on the 1987 film of the same name, Predator is an action platformer where you jump around and punch and shoot things. Most licensed games, especially during this era of games, were garbage, but there were some that were legitimately great games. Which one does Predator turn out to be?

As I often do, I visited a retro game store today and came home with some old games. Today I got three, one for the NES, one for the N64, and one for the Xbox 360. Does Xbox 360 count as retro? I am very tired today, but I need to write something to keep my goal of writing every day in November going. So, here’s a couple sentences about the nominees for this year’s Game Awards. The choices pick seem pretty weird, especially the inclusion of Elden Ring’s DLC, which is, you know, not a game. That being said, I’ve seen multiple people online say that this is some kind of conspiracy to keep JRPGs off the list, but that seems dumb too because both Metaphor: Refantazio and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth did get nominated. But at the end of the day, who really cares, because no one watches the Game Awards for the awards, right? We’re just watching because maybe Nintendo will announce the Switch 2. That’d be neat. Okay, see you tomorrow for something more substantial.
A little over a week ago, I wrote about my initial impressions with Pokémon TCG Pocket. I was pretty impressed with it, but wasn’t sure how long I would stick with it due to me having a history of not continuing mobile games. Well, I’m still playing. Here’s some updated thoughts.
