Kirby Air Riders Review

When the Switch 2’s early software lineup was revealed, the game that confused me the most was Kirby Air Riders. I’ve never actually played the original Kirby Air Ride on the GameCube, but it was not a great seller or much of a critical darling. Not to mention, it’s a mascot racing game, just like the Switch 2’s flagship launch title, Mario Kart World. While I didn’t understand the business strategy, I still wanted to check the game out. So how did it turn out?

Going Bananas: Donkey Kong Bananza Review

It’s been a little over a month since the Switch 2 released, and if you read my impressions post, you know I was very happy with it. That being said, although I really like Mario Kart World, something seemed to be missing during the launch period. Since at least the Super Nintendo, there has always been a new, single player, first party adventure on a new Nintendo platform. Those can range in scope, like the fairly small Luigi’s Mansion on the Gamecube and the gigantic The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Switch, but there’s always something. Mario Kart World is a very good multiplayer game, but it didn’t scratch that same itch. Thankfully, Donkey Kong Bananza is here to set the Switch 2 straight.

Mario Kart World First Impressions

The Nintendo Switch 2 is here and with it comes its flagship title, Mario Kart World. It’s an interesting choice for the main launch title. Usually there’s an epic adventure, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Twilight Princess for their respective consoles. But Mario Kart reaches such a giant audience. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is by far the highest selling game on the original Switch, so leading with a new game in the series absolutely makes sense. Is this game enough to carry the launch of a new console?

Nintendo Switch 2 First Impressions

After a long wait filled with rumors and speculation, the Nintendo Switch 2 is finally out. I picked mine up at 11 PM last night at my local Best Buy, along with a ton of other people, many of whom hadn’t preordered and were just hoping there would be enough stock for everyone. Since getting home with mine, I got everything set up and then stayed up until almost 5 in the morning playing with it. So, what do I think?

Countdown To Switch 2: Best Of The Switch

It’s been eight years since the Nintendo Switch launched, and I’ve talked about it a whole lot on this blog in that time. It’s pretty crazy to think that at the time of this writing, the Switch 2 is only one week away. Before we put the original Switch to rest, I thought it’d be cool to write a little bit about my favorite games on the system. This won’t be the most comprehensive list. I was thinking of the best way to do this, and decided to do the highest ranking Switch game on each of my game of the year lists. That means there’s going to be a bunch I miss, but I can’t make this post a million words long. So, let’s get started.

How About That Direct?| Nintendo Switch 2 4/2/25

After months of waiting and rampant speculation, we finally got some real information on the Nintendo Switch 2. Obviously, I’ve been losing my mind over the possibilities this whole time. There are very few things I enjoy as much as I enjoy a new Nintendo platform’s launch, and this is only the second one to happen since I started writing this blog! But, did the Direct live up to my expectations?

Switch 2 Direct Predictions

We are officially less than a month away from the Nintendo Direct that will reveal all the details on the Nintendo Switch 2. I thought it would be fun to make predictions on what we’ll be seeing. I also thought it would be fun to use my E3 Prediction rules. But since we’re only predicting one show, let’s do two predictions for each category.
