Top Ten Games Of 2017

This was a much crazier year than last year. When I had to make my top ten last year, I had only played a total of thirteen games all year. That’s how games I don’t even particularly like, such as Pokemon Go, made it on to my list. This year, I’ve played over thirty. Random Game Wednesdays: Predator (NES)

It’s been a while since the random number generator gave me a crappy NES licensed game. But, today it gave me one that I had played a lot growing up. I’m pretty sure I had actually played the game before I had ever even seen the movie. This was one of those games that even though you knew it wasn’t very good, you just kept playing it. Random Game Wednesdays: Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure

I remember Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure being a really big deal when it first released. At first glance, it’s pretty easy to see why. The game looks gorgeous, with some of the best animations I’ve ever seen on the Super Nintendo. The action is fairly straightforward, but it’s fun and easy to grasp. It’s connected to Pitfall, a game that’s maybe a little too old for people my age, but there was an Atari 2600 in my house so I absolutely played it. But for as big of a deal as it was back in 1994, no one really talks about the Mayan Adventure anymore. Continue reading
