Happy Thanksgiving!

Sorry to do another short post so soon, but today is Thanksgiving. I was very busy with both work and family time today, so I just don’t have time to do a real post today. But as I’ve said before, when I started this challenge, I never specified how long the posts would be. Every once in a while, I was going to have to do one of these. But hey, enjoy your mashed potatoes, your green bean casserole, your pies, and your family. Happy Thanksgiving, and I’ll have something much longer tomorrow!

What I’d Like To See From A New Godzilla Game

Earlier today, Godzilla was revealed to be coming to Fortnite in its next season. This adds to the list of games Godzilla has crossed over with fairly recently, which includes Call of Duty, Dave the Diver, Gigabash, and more. It really raises the question, where is the next real Godzilla game? We did get that little strategy game, Godzilla Voxel Wars, last year, and there was that Kong game that came out this year that at least acknowledges Godzilla, but I want a new, big Godzilla game.

Emio- The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club Review

Famicom Detective Club was a short series of two visual novels that released in 1988 for the Famicom Disc System that never left Japan. That kind of changed in 2021 with the release of remakes for the Nintendo Switch which did find their way over here. If you’ve been a reader for a long time, you know that I loved those remakes, with them being tied for fourth place in my top ten list that year. I always assumed that that would be the last we’d see of the series, but to my surprise, Nintendo announced a brand new game and it released this year.

Video Game Lego Sets I’d Like To See

It’s another night where it’s gotten late, I’m very tired, but I still need to write something. So how about another quick list? This time, I’m going to list a few things from video games that I’d like to see get turned into Lego sets. Don’t worry, we’ll have something more substantial tomorrow. But I can’t lose this whole “write a post every day of November” thing that I’m doing this close to the end of it. Alright, here they are.

Marvel Vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics First Impressions

Marvel Vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics released digitally back in September, but I’m a weirdo who needs his games physically when possible. Because of that, I had to wait a few months for my copy, but it showed up today! So, here’s my first impressions of it. And when I say first impressions, I really mean it. I didn’t have a lot of time today, it’s very late, and I played less than an hour. But whatever, he we go!

Games I’m Not Playing This Year

Game of the Year is coming up quickly, which means pretty soon I need to figure out my list very soon. Every year, some really big games inevitably get left off my list, simply because I have not played them. I’m one guy writing a blog, not a big website with a staff who’s primary job is playing and writing about everything. I thought it might be a good idea to list a few of the big games that I have not played this year and that I doubt I will by the time the year is up.

Random Game Wednesdays On Thursday: Predator (NES)

It seems like the random number generator I use for this feature really likes giving me licensed games, and it did so once again. This time it’s Predator for the NES. Based on the 1987 film of the same name, Predator is an action platformer where you jump around and punch and shoot things. Most licensed games, especially during this era of games, were garbage, but there were some that were legitimately great games. Which one does Predator turn out to be?
